Although some sigh and groan over the state of the church, God always has a plan. His plan is for overcomers to stand in the place of the church and win the victory for the whole body. The overcomers win but the church receives the spoils.
Jesus calls the overcomers apart, out of the heavenly descendants Abraham’s race to bring in the kingdom of Messiah and of God (see Rev. 11:15). Hidden throughout the centuries, every generation has a remnant of overcomers to accomplish God’s purposes for their day.
Overcomers do not live for themselves. They lay down their lives and live for God. There is no higher call in the universe. You can join their number if you step forward and answer the call!
Overcomers are partakers of God’s divine nature, authority, and power. They are those who live victoriously, know Christ as their life, crush the enemy under their feet, prevail over the world, and reign in life through the power of Christ within. They are participators in the Father’s eternal purpose and follow in Christ’s footsteps: “If any man will come after Me, let him deny himself, take up his cross daily, and follow Me” (Luke 9:23).
